1. Domain Name.
If you haven’t purchased a domain yet - perfect! You actually get a free .com address when you subscribe to your annual Squarespace plan. If you’ve already purchased a domain name, please provide the company name, email, username and password.
2. Social Media Login Info:
In order to connect your social media accounts to your website, your usernames and passwords are required. You can add “Knee Coal” as an admin into your Facebook page if you prefer to not share your personal details.

If you have specific photos, you would like to use or have a selection of images you’ll like us to make a selection from; we would suggest sharing it with us using Wetransfer, Google Drive or our preferred Dropbox. Of course, your website would look best with the highest quality photos; for that reason, we advise you not to send it over email.

Vector (.ai, .pdf, .eps, .svg) is the best for format for your logo to be supplied. Please get in touch with your graphic designer if you need assistance with this. Depending on the complexity, we can retrace your logo for $50-$150. Any easy way to ensure that your logo is a vector is to zoom into the logo 300%; if it is, it should be clear as day.

PROJECT QUOTING
We will create a quote based on the information you’ve provided. Additions to the tasks requested, after confirming will incur additional costs and an extension of the timeline.
Below are also some additional costs that may affect the overall cost of the project (outside of our design fee).

FIRST DRAFT
Please view your website on a DESKTOP. We will not mobile optimise your website until the final changes to the site are finalised. The main focus for this step is to lock in aesthetics (colour, fonts and layout.)
GIVING FEEDBACK
We can ALL be pretty bad at making decisions. Write up your changes, ask your staff, then, sit on the email for a day or so before sending. This helps multiple emails being sent, allowing fewer mistakes to be made with all the information in one place.

ITERATIONS
Day Rate vs. Project Rate
If you had requested a project rate, please note you only have TWO rounds of changes included in your project unless specified otherwise beforehand. After that, any changes to the brief will be charged at our day rate or the rate agreed privately.
If you’ve gone for our standard charging model (day rate) - please ensure you deliver your changes promptly to maximise your allocated time.
SEO
After we have optimised your website for mobile, we will add internal SEO. However, we do not provide ongoing SEO support and recommend hiring an SEO specialist if you require these services.
UPGRADE YOUR SQUARESPACE ACCOUNT
During this stage we will connect your domain name, upgrade your Squarespace account, test functionality, organise your email address and make your website live to the public.

We always suggest the Annual plan for the free domain name and additional discount. Our discount will apply automatically with any annual plan. We will also receive an email notifying us that you have subscribed so no need to let us know.

Once you're logged in, you'll be at the 'My Dashboard' screen. Press the website button next to the image of your website.
You will be directed to a screen with a panel on the left and the view of your website on the right. Down at the bottom of the screen, you'll see a blue "Subscribe" button.

Press on it to be directed through the payment process.
We suggest paying annually for the biggest discount.
We will get notified when you make the purchase so we can go ahead and connect the domain name.
FINAL STEPS
TESTING YOUR FORMS
We will connect the forms on your website to Google Forms as a backup database. You will be invited via Google, so please check your spam folder if you have not received this email. Also, please note which email is connected to this account, as we do not have access to your login details due to privacy laws. After you have accepted the invite - you can test your forms to become familiar with the process.
DOMAIN NAME CONNECTING
You may connect as many domain names as you please to your website. Please let us know which address you would like as your primary, and we will redirect all the other addresses to point to that one. We will need the domain name company, the domain name address, password and username of each to connect. Some domain names can take up to 72 hours to import. NOTE: Please also ensure you have backed up your emails PRIOR to this step.
